HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer Driver Windows, Mac
The HP ENVY 5660 125-sheet input tray is one of the key factors that limit it to light-duty use even by home-office standards. However, the included duplexer, for two-sided printing, is a welcome extra, as is the separate photo tray that can hold 15 sheets of 4-by-6-inch photo paper, so you don't have to swap out paper to switch between printing documents and printing photos. As with most document scanners, the 5000 s2 offers 600 pixel-per-inch (ppi) optical resolution, which is far higher than you need for most purposes. HP's 25 ppm and 50 ipm rating is for color, grayscale, and black and white at 300 ppi. For my tests I created profiles to scan at 300 ppi in black and white.

HP Officejet X555dn Printer Driver Windows, Mac
I timed the X555xh on our business application suite (using QualityLogic's hardware and software for timing) at 8.8ppm, essentially tied with the HP X551dw's 9.2ppm. (Differences of up to about 0.5ppm aren't significant at this speed.) That makes it slower than the Memjet C6010, which I clocked at 14.8ppm, but it's still faster than most laser printers we've tested at PC Labs.

The HP Officejet 7000, one of the least expensive A3 inkjets we've seen. Based on a similar four-ink print engine to the A4 Officejet 6000, photo printing isn't its forte. However, costing much less than A3 laser printers - particularly colour ones - it's an attractive prospect for small offices with limited IT budgets. Print costs also compare well at just 4.7p per mixed-colour A4 page.
