How to Disable Driver Signing Enforcement in Windows 8

Windows will prevent users to install drivers without digital signature so to enable drivers without signature installation you need to disable driver signing enforcement.

STEP 1
1. Press Windows key + R, when the "run" box appear type:

shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00

STEP 2
2. Before it restart, a start up setting screen will appear. Make the following selection:

Troubleshoot — Advanced options — Start Up Settings — Restart

STEP 3
3. Select " Disable driver signature enforcement" after reboot.

What Is TRS Driver
TRS Drivers is common for Toshiba Products and label as "special" drivers by Toshiba website. The main function of the TRS driver according to Toshiba technical support is for the DVD player codec. It will allow codecs to be updated.

Is it Important?

Non-NTSC TV Tuner Hotfix for DirectX 9.0b

DirectX 9.0b caused several TV Tuner capture card/driver combinations using video formats other than NTSC (NTSC-J, PAL, SECAM) to no longer initialize correctly on Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003.

Symptoms include loss of capture functionality and potential inability to set/retain device capture settings.

This patch is only for users who installed one of the above Operating systems and already installed DirectX 9.0b.
